Hello to all,
Oh how I think of all of you, Sooo often. I'm confident you are all doing well. My Shannan loved and admired all of you.

We have decided to keep Shannan Price.com website, even though you have established the official site for her foundation.

This time of year I go through memories, I still can remember ALL the details and how You Elves supported Shannan .It's what she would have done for any of you. She wrote she would die for you!! Thank You for honoring her memory.

As you know Shan was very sick in fall 2004. And I suspect all of our bodies remember. I just spent some time honoring her spirit and was compelled to say hello, after viewing her book of life and seeing all those pictures. You know it's funny each time I have the strength to look at it I have another layer of healing. I can not believe it has been
4 years this February.

I also wanted to let you know I'll be in SF at Aunt Sharon's until Christmas day, then I go to see the grand kids for a week. If any of you are around , please give a call or email (or just show up).
Love to all you. Happy Holidays
Barbara, Judy & Aunt Sharon

I recently received an email from the author of a poem that was entered in the guestbook. Please make sure any poems or anything else you post is "kosher." They accused us of data theft, copywright infringement, plagerism, etc. I am removing a poem called "Angel's Touch" from our guestbook. This made us liable as well as the hosting company.
Thank you for your compliance.

Hi Everyone,
I wanted to share with you a website from a man who emailed me not too long ago regarding his daughter who is suffering from a cancer VERY similar to Shannan's. She is about the same age as Shannan and in July of 2005 while undergoing treament, she delivered a baby boy. Please visit her website (inspired by Shannan's!) and send your positve thoughts and prayers to this young woman as she fights for her life.

Good Morning to all,
It’s Barbara. Yesterday was Shannan’s birthday, and I wanted to let you know she had a wonderful day full of memories. Jimmy, Traci, and Michelle came over and we had the traditional crab feed for her as we always did. Her elves were all getting together as well. Stephinie called me and said you know Barb shan never wanted gifts she just always wanted everyone together. I can’t tell you how those girls have touched my heart so deeply. I can see why Shannan said, I have friends I would die for. All of you are very special to me, and my family. To all our friends and family, have a Merry Christmas and always remember the reason we celebrate this special day. May the New year bring comfort and joy.
Love and peace to all,
Barbara & Marshall

Hi everyone,
It’s Barb & Marshall. We are all moved in and back to work. The house feels great, warm & comfortable and full of Shannan’s sprit. It was her home when she was in college, as many of you know. It seemed a bit weird getting back into day to day reality. Quite frankly, it makes me really wonder what it’s all about. However, I remember Shannan saying forget me not & let’s move forward together. Plant me in the spring and Remember to Laugh, Love, Live, and Bloom. I planted our forget me nots the 1st day of spring and am going to make that an annual ritual in the sprit of my sweet Shannan. You know the saying time heal’s all wound’s currently I disagree. I miss her. And hurt tremendously. Marshall and I start Group therapy Tuesday and I have a women’s group at my son’s church I will attend. Even though it’s hard to understand Shannan would want us to carry on! We changed our internet provider so here’s our new email waltile@comcast.net . Please keep in touch.

God bless us all.

A message from Barbara....

To the world of people that have touched our lives in so many ways.

I can’t express enough the love we’ve felt especially these past few months. Marshall and I just came back from a much needed reprieve. We were blessed to be able to go to the islands of Hawaii and enjoy the beauty that God has created. While there we saw Shannan in the flowers, mountains, blue sky’s, stars at night and the great Pacific Ocean. Shannan always wanted to go to New Zealand and sky dive well she’s on her way to New Zealand. I felt her presence in the pacific perhaps she was traveling by. When I surfed for the very first time. When I hesitated at the strength of the ocean I heard, "what would Shannan do?" Sit it out or dance. I choose to dance. I caught a wave put my hands up and yelled SHANNAN!! I felt so close to her that day. She was with me. As for sky diving the coordinates were not condusive on the island of Kauai so I’ll have to find the perfect spot when I’m feeling lost and hollow without my baby. And I know she will be with me all the way down. I love you Shannan. Before Shannan died she said to me "Mom be strong and move forward. Dance every Dance." As she took her last breath, she looked at me and said “thank you” as the most perfect tear shaped drop ran down her cheek. What a beautiful Angel we lost.

Thank you again for all you’re prayers and support through this very testing time of faith. I have learned the biggest heart felt lesson through all of this, and it is to truly trust in God, he has an ultimate plan for all of us.

Marshall and I are moving forward with our plans to move to Fair Oaks March 1st. We will be 12 minutes from my son Jimmy and his family. My sweet granddaughter Riley is waiting patiently. Once settled in the Sacramento area and have all Shannan’s affairs in order I will be returning to work with 7 Up. I can’t begin to tell all of you what a blessing it is to work with such a loving and caring family. I look forward to moving on and bless you all. Here is our email so we can keep in touch. waltile@rcn.com

Love to all.

Hello to all who have prayed and supported our family during this very sad time in our lives. This is Aunt Sharon and I need a little help. If anyone has a phone number address or email for any of the following friends please e mail it to me at russellsb@comcast.net.
-Darlene she played softball with Shannan, I don't know her last name.
-Tracie Butler
-All of the elf's please send me your email address and write your birthdays down, as I said before you'll hear from me at least twice a year. (hopefully more)
-Todd please send me your email and birthday also.

I want to let everyone know how much I appreciated the show of love toward the family and especially Shannan. I love her so much and my heart aches to see her in the flesh again. I know she is at peace with the lord, but for now I feel hollow. She will help me get through this and she will also help you, that's how Shannan is.

Thanks again love Aunt Sharon

To the world of people my daughter has been able to touch in this life, Although my last wish for Shannan was never granted, Shannan had the ultimate wedding when she became God's bride. As her mother, I am so very proud of my little girl. She was an example of what God inspires us all to strive for.

Please join her father and I in the celebration of her life on Friday, February 11th at 10:30am. We will gather at the Redwood Chapel - 847 Woodside Rd., Redwood City. There will be a private ceremony for the immediate family following the service where we will lay my baby to rest at Miramar beach. It was her very special place.

Justin has opened his and Shannan's house in La Honda to friends immediately following the service and Aunt Sharon has opened her home for family. Thank you all for your prayers and support through this testing time of faith.

God bless us all.
Sincerely,
Barbara Price

Hello again it's Aunt Sharon. I'm saddened to say Shannan is doing worse today than yesterday. She is having trouble breathing and is beginning to wheeze a little. Her mother and father asked me to update that there can be no visitors for the remainder of the day. They were going to try to give people some time with her but her condition is becoming too upsetting and they need a quiet environment for her and themselves. If things change in the morning, I'll be sure to let you know. Please know as always we apprciate your love and prayers. The only ones seeing Shannan tonight are her Mom, Dad Justin and Judy.
Much love to all of you,
Aunt Sharon. (ps- Price family, call chris on his phone)

Hello to all,
This is Aunt Sharon and I was asked to give everyone an update. My sister Barbara has been with Shannan day and night since monday and will not leave her side. Shannan was admitted into the er on sat. and has gotten progessively worse each day. The main effort on Shannan's behalf is pain control. She is not expected to leave the hospital. Our beautiful Shannan has visitors all day every day and we really try to limit the activity so she is able to sleep through the pain. She told her mommy "I just want to sleep." If you choose to visit to say goodbye today we will try to let you in one at a time for a few minutes please just knock gently. we have been reading all the notes left on the door and we keep them posted in her room and their are several pages. I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news but know that the good news is in Jesus Christ and that Shannan has been anointed with holy water and received the body of Christ through her first holy communion two days ago. We love you all and thank you for being so supportive to Shannan and all of her family. We know Shannan has touched each one of you with her special joy love and light and that we are all better people for knowing her.
Sincerely Aunt Sharon

To all are friends and family,
It's been a very long day. Last night Shannan went to the mountain house which she loves so much and unfortunately got a realization that it's not possible to stay there any more. I received a call from Justin at 11am stating it was time!!!! Mom I'm scared! He panicked but did every thing right. Shannan collapsed. Justin and I walked thru all the procedures and the paramedics arrived and took her to the hospital. She was admitted today and will stay probably until Monday when the Hospice team can reevaluate her pain control. I spoke to Dr. Friedberg who Shannan and I admire tremendously. She is the Director of the Hospice division. She said we will have a wedding!!!  If there's not enough time for details she would bake the cake!! And Dr. Simian her oncologist would frost it! We are so blessed to have my daughter in such loving and capable hands. Thank you God. As I mentioned before Shannan opted to stop treatment and LIVE!! I ask that all of you join me in my daily prayer to God.

Dear God,
Please allow my sweet Shannan to have this month to feel good. We want to spoil her at the Ritz Carleton for a facial and Massage. Have lunch with her girlfriends and be silly. Most of all marry the man she loves. Please God, she has never been selfish and she's not asking I am. Please give her that fun! I know it may sound materialistic but it's not, it's the individual special moments she wants to share with all the people she loves and cares for. After the bad news that the cancer was terminal she looked at me and said, well Mommy how much fun do you think we can have in a month? My answer to her was a lot. Please dear lord give her that.
This I pray in Jesus name.
Amen,

Barbara Price

Hi to all our family and friends,
Here is the latest update regarding our dear Shannan.  We are saddened to say it is not the best news. Dr. Seimien has told us that the cancer is continuing to grow even with the chemotherapy treatments. The unfortunate nature of this cancer is proven to be terminal.  From a medical standpoint, Shannan has the following options. She can increase her chemo to weekly and start daily radiation, however Dr. Seimien has explained that these treatments will not change the eventual outcome, and will probably keep Shannan bed ridden and in the hospital most of the time.  Shannan has opted to stop treatment and feel physically the best she can under the circumstances. This would mean that we let go and let God. This does not mean we lose faith and give up the fight; it just means that Shannan will have the quality of life she thrives on.

She and Justin have moved up their wedding date. They intend on beginning to live each day to the fullest. Shannan still has a great outlook on life and hopes all of you will continue to pray for her and never give up hope.  We her family stand behind her 100% in her decision. Shannan is getting very tired of feeling so poor. I will continue to search wherever and whenever there may be a cure. There must be a clinical trial or cure for this very rare cancer somewhere. Shannan's time with us is precious and very much in Gods hands, so keep the faith and prayers coming, she needs and appreciates them very much we love you all.

Sincerely,
Barbara, Chris and Aunt Sharon

Good Morning,

Today’s the big day we find out the final results of the last CAT scan and from there make our strategic next step! I’m waiting for a call back from the National Institute of Cancer regarding a possible clinical trial in Maryland. We will also be discussing Radiation therapy or weekly Chemo. There’s a lot to way out as you can imagine. Please join me in a prayer to have God guide us in the right direction. Each option is harmful to my daughter. Thank you for you’re prayers!!

PSALM 57
Be merciful to me, O God be merciful to me! For my soul trust in you; And in the shadow of your wings I will make refuge until these calamities have passed by.

Good Morning. We are so full of HOPE!!!!! We do not have the final results from the CAT scan but the preliminary report indicates the tumors are shrinking!!! Most importantly one of the seven lesions on her liver- the size of a lemon is gone!!!! Although Shannan is wiped out from the chemo she looked at me and said mom I told you we're going to beat this thing!! It brought tears to my eyes. Thanks again to everyone for you’re prayers. GOD is at the helm!! I opened my bible this morning and the page I turned to randomly was about worry. I’d like to post this prayer on the website.
I don’t look like I’m afraid Father Calm on the outside but Father I have hidden fears. You know them. I’m afraid of being alone. I’m afraid of being jobless. I’m afraid of pain. Father today I offer these fears to you and ask you give me courage as I look to you, the one who knows no fear.
Amen
Sincerely,Barbara Price
